Holiday Helpers of Rochester Hills to Begin Online Auctions November 1

ROCHESTER HILLS, MICHIGAN -- The Holiday Helpers of Rochester Hills is planning a new kind of fundraiser: online auctions on E-Bay. These auctions will include all sorts of items and services, of local and national interest, and will begin on November 1, 2002, just in time for holiday shopping. The Holiday Helpers are being assisted in running these auctions by MCC Productions of Rochester. MCC will collect, tag, photograph and submit donated items to the charity's E-Bay auction pages. All proceeds of sales, after the payment of the E-Bay fees, will go directly to Holiday Helpers to enable them to help even more deserving seniors and families in the coming months and years. Auction purchases are tax deductible and all winning bidders will receive receipts for tax purposes. Auctioned items/services can be paid for by money order, cashiers check or online with a credit card using the PayPal payment service through E-Bay.

The Holiday Helpers and MCC are currently looking for donations from anyone and everyone! Discussions have also begun with local and Michigan celebrities to donate autographed or original items or services. Businesses are welcome to donate products, gift certificates, services, etc. and individuals are welcome to donate any items for sale. Contact Patricia McCarthy at MCC for more information on suitability, pick-up or delivery, etc. Items may remain with the donors until sold, but photographs and verification will be needed prior to auction listings. Certificates for services and smaller items will be picked up from donors by MCC. Donors will also receive receipts for tax purposes.
